How this works

This tool drafts a reply to a defendant insurer's pre-litigation correspondence in a register intended to invite settlement rather than to litigate the points in correspondence. It anchors the reply in the specific factual challenges identified by the Short Report Rebuttal (uploaded as the Analysis Pack), uses the defendant's letter to identify any specific legal authorities being invoked, and closes with a settlement offer marked Without Prejudice Save as to Costs by default.

Workflow: ingest defendant's BHR evidence with the Short Report Rebuttal → send your first letter (already drafted) → defendant replies → load all three documents here → draft your reply.

1Analysis pack (from Short Report Rebuttal)

The .json file you downloaded from the Short Report Rebuttal after ingesting the defendant's BHR evidence. This is your internal evidence pack and should not be sent to the defendant. It anchors the body of this reply in the specific FAILs identified for each supplier.

No analysis pack loaded

2Defendant's response

Paste the defendant's reply, or upload a PDF / .docx of the letter or email. This is what we are responding to.

3Original outgoing letter (optional)

For continuity — the letter you sent the defendant to which this is a reply. Used only to recognise prior points so the draft does not repeat them.

4Settlement offer & case context

Header marking:
Default for pre-litigation negotiation: protects the offer from the substantive proceedings but allows it to be deployed on costs.
Library of archetypal legal arguments currently loaded (used to recognise authorities in the defendant's letter)
